You are not to approach turtles or nests, there are no throwing games allowed, and finally, you are to leave only your footprints when you leave the beach (clean up after your group!).

Parking & Directions
Since this is one of the best Anna Maria Island beaches, you can expect to find a large parking lot. With that said, the lot is only open from sunrise until 10 p.m., so make sure that your car is moved by then. On weekends, it’s harder to find parking, so it’s best to arrive early. The good news is that parking is always free!
The parking lot allows up to 120 parking spots. There is some street parking, but it’s pretty limited. There are many “no parking” signs along the street, which are strictly enforced. If you don’t want to deal with finding a place to park or potentially being fined for parking in the wrong place, then simply hop on the free Anna Maria Island trolley, which stops right at Manatee Beach!
Manatee Beach is located right off Gulf Drive, so it’s easy to reach from anywhere on the island. There are three access points to the beach for you to take advantage of. Perhaps the easiest point to reach is located right next to the Anna Maria Island Beach Café. There is also a huge parking lot here, so it’s pretty hard to miss! Of course, riding the trolley means you won’t even need to worry about directions.
