This longstanding tradition is one of my favorites. Halloween costumes are getting more and more creative. When Merchants open their doors to the variety of princesses and pirates, creatures and critters, come marching down the lane, it melts your heart.
Monday, Oct. 31, the Trail of Treats starts in the AMI Chamber Parking lot from 3 to 7 p.m. The event begins with the costume contest and from there, the kids will go to participating businesses for treats. Just cross over at the guarded cross walk to the Island Plaza with buckets for a variety of offering for the restaurants and shops, to adults and children alike.
Many of the merchants offer cookies and other appetizers while the kids get the sweets and Photo opps. The adults have just as much fun wearing their favorite get ups, and continuing their Island Party at some of the local Dining establishments and Pubs.
Stop and see us at the RE/MAX BeachRentals.Mobi office ans say hi. We are ready with bags of goodies.
If you are on the Island Oct 22, the Holmes Beach City Park at 5801 Marina Drive, is having a Fall festival for the whole family. The public is invited to this event where there will be fun and games for kids, refreshments and food items for sale, to benefit the elementary school’s PTO. Come over for the festivities. Don’t forget to wear a costume.
