Florida Boat Parades are a Holiday event that is sure to wow young and old alike. No more getting bundled up with hot cocoa to drive around ice covered roads, now you can comfortable sit in one space for the lights to come to you. The gleaming light reflecting against the water is one of the magical holiday moments to remember. Get your Christmas spirit in motion at one or all of these area boat parades.
Bradenton~Christmas Boat Parade~From 5-10 pm enjoy the sights and sounds of the Holidays, on the water, at Jiggs Landing Fish Camp. Parade starts at 7pm. Santa will here at 5pm so bring the little ones for pictures and other treats. Then Santa will lead the parade and when they return he will be available for photos again. We will have a campfire going and hot cocoa to warm you up. We are also seeking participants for the parade. Manatee Holiday Boat Parade~The parade of lighted boats begins at dusk (6:30) near Snead Island. The route then proceeds east past the Bradenton Yacht Club, to Riverhouse Reef and Grill and the Regatta Pointe Marina. The parade turns south at the Green Bridge and moves onward to PIER 22 and the Twin Dolphin Marina. Public viewing sites are available from the Green Bridge Pier, Riverhouse Reef & Grill, PIER 22 and on the Riverwalk in downtown Bradenton.
Sarasota~The 32nd Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday December 09, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The best areas for viewing are Marina Jack Restaurant, Bayfront Park, City Island and Centennial Park.
Clearwater~Festivities start at 6:30 in Mandalay Channel, between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach. Lighted boats will parade in and out of many of the Island Estate canals before heading over to Coachman Park around 8:00 PM. From there the boats will go under the new Memorial Causeway Bridge steering into the Clearwater Marina Channel before heading to the Clearwater Yacht Club.
Tampa~A sailor’s delight as the Tampa Sailing Squadron opens their doors to the community for the parade and awards ceremony at their clubhouse at 1250 Apollo Beach Blvd in Apollo Beach. Take part in the Chili cook off after the parade.
