July 4th Parade and Fireworks!

The Anna Maria Island Privateers, are  hosting their annual 4th of July Parade to celebrate the Birth of America to raise proceeds for “Pirates for Kids & Community”. So put on your  Red, White and Blue. and join in the festivities. Don’t be shy to offer donations, to the savory Pirates, their Arg, is worse than their Bite. You may also go to the Privateers website www.amiprivateers.org to learn more about the mission to help children.

Starting at 10am, July 04, ending at 12:00 noon, from Coquina Beach, on the south to  Anna Maria City Pier, on the North end. Bring your lawn chairs and sit along the roadside, while Pirates and local merchants parade the Island in celebration of the Birth of our Nation. Enjoy the fellowship of Island visitors as well as locals, as you whisk up the candy and beads, that will be thrown from the floats.

 

Then make your way “The Ugly Grouper” (formerly the Barefoot TIKI bar)at 5704 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach Florida for the  Parade after  Party. Enjoy Live Music, drinks & Pub food , and be there when the Privateers announce the Scholarship recipients of over  $11,000.00. The Kids can play corn hole and enjoy open mike family fun. The pub serves beer and wine for adults as well as non- alcoholic beverages and traditional grill foods, combined with Florida Favorites.
