A Valentine’s Guide to Romance on Anna Maria Island

The Ultimate Valentine’s Day starts with an Island rendezvous on the Florida Gulf Coast.  Take your sweetheart where the waters are blue, the skies are clear and sun is shining. With Silky sands and spectacular sunsets as your backdrop, you are sure to make lasting romantic, memories.

Anna Maria Island, where you can walk hand in hand with your sweetheart, basking in the in small town charm. Stroll down to 507 Pine Ave, to the Hometown bakery for fresh pastries and coffee. Take it to a boardwalk bench to catch the sunrise over the bay, at the Anna Maria City Pier.  If you prefer intimate table for two, you can’t go wrong with The Sign of the Mermaid, featuring for their signature Creme brulee stuffed French Toast.

Leisure time together may include  kayaking or paddle boarding the mangroves at Robinson Preserves. The the quiet waters reflecting the blue skies and wading birds foraging along the shore. Take a bike ride or stroll, the secluded trails, in the lush tropical scenery leading to untouched beaches, perfect for your intimate picnic.

 

If you are adventure seekers, take the plunge in a double parasail, with a bird’s eye view of the crystal blue waters. Take it down a notch with a Dolphin cruise, or calm it way down with a sunset cruise. What better way to spend together then over the sparkling Gulf. Cool off and share some homemade Ice Cream  at a local creamery.

You may need some personal pampering for your partner or even together.  Book her a spa day or take her to a couples massage at the beach with Body and Sol. If you are in a time crunch, consider a mani/pedi to show of a new outfit and sandals.   If you’re a lover of the Arts, stroll the Galleries, and enjoy the local talent. Anna Maria is home to many outstanding restaurants, featuring chef specialties unique to establishment. Beachfront dining offers sunset views, perfect for romantic strolls to end the night. You may opt for seafood and  marina side, with the glow of island lights glistening on the bay. Bridge Street has several places to grab a nightcap, listen to local live music, and take a beach or Pier stroll, to the starry night skies.
