Art lovers must come to Anna Maria Island for inspiration and stay for the same reason. With the galleries and workshops for Enthusiasts, collectors and decorators, you are going to love the all of the opportunities available. Start on Pine Avenue with The J.Lazzara Gallerylocated in the Historic Green Village. The shop owner, Joyce Lazzara, is an internationally recognized artist. Work your way to  ART SPACE , For studio and classroom opportunities, is here to  challenge your creativity in group setting. If you need encouragement  to take risks, experiment and produce new work, then this is your venue. This is a wonderful opportunity to the snow birds who came for the winter. Island Gallery West, in Holmes Beach, is staffed six days a week by member artists who welcome the opportunity to discuss their art with you. Stop by for a pleasant, relaxing visit and enjoy the many fine works of art on display in two exhibit areas. You’ll discover all the variety and visual stimulation of an art festival in a pleasant gallery setting.

Island Art League, also in Holmes Beach, was founded  by a small group of artists and art lovers with a desire to bring art to the island community. Annually the League sponsors two juried fine arts and fine crafts festivals that provide funds for the art center and its scholarship fund. Join them for classroom activity as well as Relaxing with Healing Meditation and  YOGA. Check out the Events and Festivals, happening during your Island stay.

The Bridge Street Gallery   partnering  with Quidley & Company Fine Art, to bring select works by prominent artists, from all over the world.  On the Bridge Street shopping corridor. 


Anna Maria Island Historical Society Museum, exhibits materials and artifacts relating to the history Anna Maria Island. The educational program is one of great importance. It helps to preserve the heritage of our beautiful seven-mile jewel. Historical Society members visit churches and civic organizations to make the history of the Island come alive to students, residents and visitors from all walks of life.

For those of you who enjoy the Theater, you are in for a treat. The Island Players, offers a small town atmosphere with a Broadway style  experience. The players are local talent, but offer options for newcomers. Auditions are held at the Island Players theatre,on the corner of Pine Avenue at 10009 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria FL. 34216.
