Raymond James stands out like a beacon in the sky, making it easy to find, with great traffic and parking direction so tailgating can begin. Convenient restroom stations make every parking area as good as the next. If you are part of a special event, prepare to be wowed with the facilities and catering.
My first awe moment when entering the stadium, was the 103 ft pirate ship’s mast piercing through the sky. That impressive sight is coupled with crew in full attire, playing their part. With a skull adorning the front, and flags waving, and cannons firing, you almost forget you are there for a game. Go on up and get your photo taken with the most impressive backdrop ever. Surrounded by tiki bar and food court, souvenirs and facilities.
The pre game festivities are followed by Cannon fire as the team enters the field, as flames flare up, the band plays on and cheerleaders dance, while the traditional military Fly by, accompanies the National anthem . Several times throughout the game, the song “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me)” is played on the stadium speakers while the crew on board toss beads, t–shirts, and other prizes to fans below. Never a dull moment as crowd pleasers continuously, entice a motivating chant or wave. Game Highlights
There are security limits, such as:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12.”
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags. For a full fan guide click here.
The concessions are typical to pro sports, and they also feature, specialty and craft beers.
Extra wide ramps for walking large crowd and escalators for the higher seats, and elevators for the physically challenged, and companion seating with wheelchair sections.
Bring sunscreen as you will be exposed most of the day.
