5 Favorite Festivals in April on the Florida Gulf Coast

Florida is the place to be for Spring break or just a nice warm getaway. April brings out some of the best cultural and musical festivals of the year. See what’s happening here or go to the events page of our Facebook.

April 5-12:

Sarasota Chalk Festival’s   “Museum in Motion” is back to the original venue, to the Historic Burns Square, in downtown Sarasota. Starting April 5, join the spectators for the cultural event of the season. World renown artist will knock your socks off with some of the most amazing 3 D masterpieces.

Water Lantern Festival by 1000 Lights in St Petersburg. Experience the beauty as thousands of lights illuminate the water at the 1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival. Enjoy local food, music, and entertainment prior to the lantern launch at sunset. Kids are free. Tickets are selling fast. April 6th 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM, at the ROC Park, 200 Rex Pl, Madeira Beach, FL 33708.

Lido Beach Winter Fine Art Festival~Join us on April 6-7, 2019 at Lido Beach in Sarasota, FL as the visions and talents of artisans from across Florida and throughout America in fine arts and fine crafts create an outdoor gallery of extraordinary fine art. Shop one-of-a-kind sculpture, jewelry, painting, photography, glass, ceramics, mixed media, metalwork, fiber art, woodworking and more.
Hours of the Lido Beach Winter Fine Art Festival are Saturday and Sunday from 10 am-5 pm. Admission is free. Find that piece of art for home or office to enrich your life and inspire you each day.

April 12-28 :

Pier 60 Sand Sculpting Festival in Clearwater Florida. This year’s theme is “A Journey Around the Globe”.  Meander through the 21,000-sq ft Canopy and be amazed as artists create remarkable sand sculptures. Enjoy free live music, fireworks, kid’s play zones, and sand sculpting classes. 1000 tons of  Sand will be transformed into flawless sculptures of prominent destinations and landmarks from all over the world. April 12-28.

 Beach n’ Food Truck & Music Festival  April 13, from 10 am to 8 pm. Local food trucks serving the favorites of the area, along with the best local live bands, create one of the best family-friendly festivals in the area. With Kids zone, and activities, A car show featuring over 100 muscle, classic and vintage vehicles, and artisans from all over selling Casualwear, jewelry, art and handcrafted wares, all at the beach.

Coquina Beach is at 2650 Gulf Drive South, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217.  We encourage you to park at the Manatee Public Beach and Hop on the Free Trolley for the convenience of Parking. There will be parking on the south end of the Island but it is limited. Hosted by Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce.
