In Sarasota, the Pineapple drop is the big show, as 20,00 or more people line the streets in celebratory fashion. This all day festival starts at 1pm. and goes through to next year, when the Pineapple drops at Midnight. Stay close to home and Ring in the New Year at the Beach House with family, fun and a fantastic firework show! Dance with your toes in the sand to award winning  DJ,  Chuck Caudill,  taking your requests and hosting from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am. Enjoy the show from the new deck, outside bar and sunken lounge area or on the beach! Dinner specials, fantastic seafood appetizers and drinks specials are available. All seating indoors and outdoors is on a 1st come 1st serve availability. The fireworks display will take place at midnight, to toast in 2018.

Downtown Bradenton is hosting a main street gatherings to Spark the evening celebrations. NY style street party without the winter coats, from 6 p.m. until midnight  on Old Main Street between Manatee Ave. and 3rd Ave. It ends with a ball drop as the old year ends and the new one begins. Featuring the popular sounds  of “Have Gun, Will Travel.“The streets will be blocked to traffic, with vendors and food trucks, plus local Bars and restaurants on Old Main will be open also. Celebrate 25 years of the First Night, in St Pete and the LARGEST family friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts in the great State of Florida. We ring in the New Year with music, drama, games, comedy, lights, dance, fire, bubbles, stories, creative fun, fireworks and much more! There’s tons more stuff too, all over downtown.
